Kazmir Knocks Victor Zambrano out of D-Rays Record Books
To quote the sarcastic Devil Rays broadcaster, "There's probably a Mets fan in Florida who again needs to be reminded of that trade."
Scott Kazmir's 373 career strikeout makes him the most prolific pitcher in terms of K's in Tampa Bay history. Ironically, he passes Victor Zambrano, the man he was traded for to take over the franchise record. Kazmir struck out Gerald Laird to end the second inning. Through two against the Rangers, he has 3 K's while allowing only a Mark Teixiera walk.
