He then gave up one of the most memorable homers in recent memory, a towering shot by Albert Pujols that won the game for the Cardinals. The trauma he suffered that night finally came full circle, as Lidge was demoted from his position...

The Astros pulled out a 5-3 win over the Cubs today after a late two-run homer by Adam Everett tipped the scales in Houston's favor. This leaves us still sitting at the bottom of the division...but hey, it's early yet. Not a great way to start, but far from insurmountable. The Astros will stay in Chicago for two more afternoon games against the Cubs...let's hope that...
