And the guy who's going to replace Johan Santana in the 2008 Twins rotation is…Livan Hernandez? That's exciting…The Twins are one of those teams who are constantly in rebuilding/playoff mode, and it usually works for them. Unlike the Orioles, who are incapable of doing either mode correctly (though they've finally started rebuilding correctly after about 10 years of crap), the Twins signed a decent innings eater (unlike Steve Trachsel). Since the Twins have a rotation filled with youngsters (Liriano, Slowey, Bonser, Baker, etc…), having a veteran like Livan Hernandez eating up 200+ innings (as many as 255 IP, back in 2004) is beneficial for both those young arms and preventing an over-worked bullpen.
