MLB could not ask for a better matchup between two of the most storied franchises in baseball history.
The Chicago Cubs come into the postseason with the best balance of starting pitching, offense, defense and bullpen of all playoff teams. However, they carry the biggest weight on their shoulders in not having won a World Series in 100 years.
This pressure in addition to facing a very solid Los Angeles Dodgers team, will make advancing to the NLCS that much more difficult. However, the Cubs simply have too much depth. Specifically, their starting pitching will allow them to separate themselves from the Dodgers and advance to the NLCS.

Mets Rumors: Starting Pitching Front
According to Jon Heyman of SI.com, It seems that the Mets are having problems trying to figure out where there next starting pitcher is coming from. The Mets like Oliver Perez, but the Mets and Boras price tag seem to put them miles apart. The Dodgers, Reds, Brewers, and Mariners remain possible suitors to land the lefty starter.

Derek Lowe and Brad Penny made a formidable 1-2 punch for the Dodgers and next season neither maybe with the team. It's believed that Penny's option won't be picked up and things seemed to have ended bad in Los Angeles. Cubs Play Poorly, Lose Game 1; It's Now All on Zambrano
