Spurs Ring in New Season With 106-97 Win Over Trail Blazers
It was a routine opening night for the San Antonio Spurs. First they received their 2007 championship rings and then they beat the Portland Trail Blazers for the tenth straight time, 106-97. While some people speak of a "Big Three" in Boston, the real Big Three--the Big Three that has won two of the last three NBA titles--once again led the way for the Spurs: Tim Duncan had 24 points and 13 rebounds, Tony Parker added 19 points and five rebounds and Manu Ginobili contributed 16 points, eight assists and five steals.
