Need some fast cash? Why not use a sportsbook to bet on baseball?

We're going to go ahead and use our half-assed playoff preview to help you earn some dough this postseason.

The 91-68 Colorado Rockies punched their ticket to October baseball when they clinched the National League Wild Card on Thursday, beating the Milwaukee Brewers 9-2 at home. They still have a shot at the NL West crown if they manage to sweep the Los Angeles Dodgers at Chavez Ravine. Umm... don't put your money on that series. Mama's not feelin' it.

Either door they enter into Rocktober, Colorado is going to have a tough opponent in the NLDS. Whether it's the 92-66 Philadelphia Phillies -- reigning World Series Champs who are not about to just roll over and give up their title -- or the amazing Albert Pujols' St. Louis Cardinals, it's going to be a great series. Having home field advantage after sweeping the Dodgers and finishing with a better season record than both teams wouldn't hurt, either. Let's not forget they won the National League pennant as a Wild Card team in 2007.

As far as the only division in baseball yet to have a winner... we're not gonna talk about it. In fact, we're so superstitious at this point, that we're not even going to mention their names. Go here to read more about them and their quest for the tight AL Central.

Whoever does manage to come out on top will have the pleasure of facing the damn-near unstoppable 102-57 New York Yankees in the ALDS. Best record in the majors? Check. Most runs per game? Check. World Series favorites? Check. Your money's pretty good there.

The AL Wild Card belongs to the 92-67 Boston Red Sox, who'll meet the 94-65 Los Angeles Angels in the first round of the ALDS. Jon Lester (3.41 ERA) will take the hill in Game 1 against John Lackey (3.83 ERA). The Halos will have home-field advantage and hold a 5-4 record against the Sox this year. Then, there's the memory of Nick Adenhart... it needs a happy ending.
