It was reported towards the end of the season that Jeff Francoeur had spoke to his friend and former teammate, Jason Marquis about coming to the Mets. Francoeur stated that he spoke to Marquis who expressed interest in playing for his hometown team and Frenchy supported the idea. At the time the season was still going on and Marquis down played the idea, saying that he hoped many teams were interested in his services.Now that the season is over Tracy Ringolsby is reporting that Marquis has told his Colorado teammates that his goal is to be a Met.
