DECLINED:
You just can't make this stuff up. This is exactly why some athletes should have blogs instead of talking to reporters. That way they can at least read over their work. So they can make sure they don't do silly things like, you know, use "your" instead of "you're", mispronounce someone's last name, or accidentally say that they like to have their asses hammered by their teammates...

Stone Cold Matt Stairs
Dodgers fans shouldn't be sad Stairs kicked their ass. They should be glad he didn't kill them!
Matt Stairs Says He Likes To Get His Ass Hammered
Yeah, he may have completely sunk the Dodgers' playoff dreams, but at least none of the Dodger players admit to getting their ass hammered and liking it.
"'You want to get that one big hit where you feel like you're part of the team,' Stairs said. 'Not that I don't feel like I'm part of the team, by no means, but when you get that nice celebration...

Tiger Woods roots for Dodgers, violates Nike contract
Many people have been wondering what Tiger Woods has been up to since he's not playing golf. Well, it turns out he's relaxing while his knee heals, impregnating his wife, and watching the Dodgers, as seen here during Sunday's Game 3 against the Phillies.
It's understandable that Tiger would be a Dodgers fan, seeing as he [...]
Victorino is no Hollywood hero
LOS ANGELES - He runs his pregame sprints, they boo.
He trots out to his spot in centerfield, they boo some more.
He walks to the plate, they really, really boo.
Shane Victorino is Manny East. Or maybe he is Manny West. He is the player Dodgers fans love to hate, lust to boo, in a way Philly fans know too well.
They were booing him from the start of this series, long...
On to the World Series!
Wow. It's still hard to believe. Your Philadelphia Phillies are the 2008 National League Champions! For the first time in 15 years, the Phillies are heading back to the World Series. The Phils are now 4 wins away from winning it all and ending the long championship drought in this city. They are 4 wins away from having the biggest parade Philadelphia has ever seen.
The Phillies...
Which Player Is Gonna Be The Scapegoat Now?
It was pretty obvious that Matt Kemp was trying to be made the fall guy for all of the Dodgers' struggles this series, but it was pretty apparent today that the problems run deeper than one man.
Juan Pierre did well as his replacement, but the struggles of the entire lineup (besides Manny) with runners in scoring position were the problem. Does this struggle remind you...
Dodgers Have Decision To Make
The Dodgers have three high priced players available this offseason: Derek Lowe, Rafael Furcal, and Manny Ramirez. While the Dodgers are a high market team with a lot of money, they cannot afford to pay all three of the players, especially with the current salaries they have on their payroll. It is obvious that they will likely talk with Ramirez and A Lowe first, before attempting...
Phillies and Dodgers like to empty their benches after playing beanball
I think I might just post videos all day as this weekend had so many great moments. Here is the altercation between the Phillies and Dodgers that had Manny Ramirez all riled up after Shane Victorino and Hiroki Kuroda exchanged words after the top half inning was over. Victorino has found himself in the middle of a couple of these altercations. Just a couple of weeks ago he got into...
Calls of the Game
Click on the links below to listen to Scott Franske and Larry Anderson call the two home runs that propelled the Phillies to victory last night.A Hat tip to Jamie for the sound bytes. (...)
Readers mostly optimistic about Phillies' chances
A small sampling of comments captures the general pragmatism following last night's 7-2 loss. "No cause for concern or panic. This was a game the Dodgers had to have if they had any shot of taking this series. They play like it from the opening AB and got a stellar performance from Kuroda. Dodgers still have to go with a guy (Lowe) on 3-days rest tomorrow night and can&...
