  • this quiz was awesome, but Luis Ayala (the Nationals player) was traded to the mets recently, so he has to be removed.

This quiz was by far one of the hardest baseball quiz I have taken since you guys started quizzes. Excellent job.

Adam Dunn was on the list too, but if you read the directions it did say as of August 2008.

This was one of the best quizzes on here yet, great job!

for the yankees... i think the correct answer should be mariano rivera although both rookies in 1995.. and debuted that year... rivera was more prevelant as a rookie in 1995 and lost his rookie status(jeters 96 ROY) and im 99% sure appeared in a game before Jeter ever did

Wow. Talk about tough! I am too embarrassed to even mention my score.

Wasn't Adam Dunn traded in July?
  • 20 not bad
  • I got 24/30 and spelled DeJesus wrong. Jake Peavy is not correct. Trevor Hoffman has been a member of the Padres since Peavy was 12 years old.
    • hoffman came up and pitched a season for florida when he was young
  • I'm sorry, I have read the rules more closely now and see that Peavy is the correct answer, as Hoffman started his career with the Florida Marlins.
  • smoltz actually started with the tigers so i think chipper is the correct answer for braves.

Yhency Brazoban. Doesn't just happen to roll off your tongue everyday now, does it? 14 out of 30. Better than average, but still not as good as I thought I would do. The Detroit pick saved me at the end...
  • i don't think that smoltz ever pitched for the tigers.
  • smoltz pitched for the Pirates.
  • smoltz pitched for the tigers,
    • idigpho
Smoltzie was drafted in the 22 round by the Tigers, but never threw a Major league pitch for them. But because the quiz said Major League Franchise, which presumably includes its minor league affiliates, Smoltz would presumably be removed from the quiz.

To be quite honest, [Chipper] Jones was my first stab at the question, but when that was denied I got Smoltz. No harm.

I don't know what the Pirates comment was about.

Very tough. Somehow I got 25/30, missed ARZ, BAL, CLE, SF and FLA. Talk about obscure names on this one!
  • idigpho
Can anyone tell me what position Logan Kensing plays? That was by far the toughest quiz I've taken on Yardbarker.

this wasn't that bad....17.....never even heard of Logan Kensing
  • JoseJose
Jose Reyes has been on the Mets since they fired Bobby Valintine and got Art Howe so that should be changed
  • JoseJose
Brazoban was recentaly released so that should be also changed
