Eli's MLB Rumors:
The Nationals have signed Ron Villone to a minor league deal and assigned him to Triple-A. Villone is 56-59 with a 4.75 ERA in 654 career games. The lefty specialist will need to prove himself in Triple-A before he gets the call up, but injuries could create an opening for Villone at some point in the season.MLB.com's Bill Ladson says the Nationals have interest in Chad Gaudin, but only on a minor league deal.
