0-162? The Nats are 0-7. The record for futility at the beginning of a season in the National League is 0-14 and in the American League 0-21 (the 1988 Orioles). Here, Adam Dunn #44 of the Washington Nationals is congratulated by Cristian Guzman #15 after hitting a home run in the seventh inning against the Philadelphia Phillies at Nationals Park on April 13, 2009 in Washington, DC.Didn't help.

Would this be a fitting tribute to Harry Kalas?
Im thinking that since the Phillies have other statues scattered around Citizens Bank Park of important figures in Phillies history, why not make one of Harry Kalas? He was as much a part of the Phillies as anyone for 38 years. The fans loved him and the team loved him, so it would make sense right? The link is to an online petition that i set up. Sign it if you want want this to happen.

Washington Nationals' second baseman Ronnie Belliard, playing second for the Tigres del Licey of the Liga de Beisbol Dominicano this winter, hit .273 in the Caribbean Series, going 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored in the deciding game of the Series Thursday night, where the ...
Finally, Baseball has Parity… or it is Parody?
At this very moment, Bud Selig is somewhere telling somebody how all 29 big league teams (and maybe the Washington Nationals) have a legitimate chance to win a World Series in 2009. I’m sure of it. And it probably sounds something like this.
Bud: See that? *points at the standings on in the morning paper* The Blue Jays, Tigers, Mariners, Braves, Marlins, Cardinals. and Padres...
Milledge Following the Path of Ryan Thompson
Very rarely do I like to partake in “I told you so” writing. Today I felt compelled to do exactly that. After being ridiculed for two years for my stance on Lastings Milledge, my words finally came to fruition. The winless Washington Nationals sent Milledge, and his .167 batting average, to AAA Syracuse.
My “Lastings Impressions” [...]
Phils visit Nats, White House
I always thought the coolest thing about being President was that you get all those jerseys from the championship squads. George W. Bush racked up about 50 unis while in office, and Barack Obama will get his 1st on Tuesday when the Phillies visit the White House.
The visit will break up a 3 game series against the 0-6 Washington Nationals. This is exactly the type of series the...

"The good news is, I know stuff like that changes. We're out there and everybody is playing hard, which is obviously a plus. I can safely say that nobody is not playing hard, because they are. The effort is there." (Adam Dunn, via Nationals Journal, 4/12/2009)
"There's no reason yet to show them that there's panic or anything. ... I guarantee you...
