Pettitte will return to Yankees for '08 season
Andy Pettitte, who contemplated retirement this winter, has told his good friends, a few former Astros teammates and some current Yankees teammates that he will return to the Bronx for the 2008 season. The Houston Chronicle reports that the Yankees have been informed of the decision by Pettitte's agent, Randy Hendricks.

Hank Steinbrenner's forwardness in the press has hurt him again. Not only did he impose a ridiculous deadline on the Twins, he also accused them of pitting him against the Red Sox in an effort to drive the price up. According to La Velle Neal, the Twins are pissed. The article notes that the Twins may file tampering charges against the Yankees' very own Fredo.
