PHILLIES:The Phillies are having a miserable June. They lost again tonight in Tampa losing the series.The only good news for the Phillies recently is Brad Lidge was activated off the DL today and will be ready for action.The problem list is long. Jimmy Rollins is in amazing slump. He is barely hitting .200 and is starting to have more defensive lapses. It's time to move him out of the lead off spot. I say move him to the 6-hole for at least a month. Move Werth or Victorino to leadoff. I would vote Werth. He works the count better than Shane (besides when he swung at the 1st pitch with the bases loaded on three straight walks in Tampa).Hopefully Ryan Madson will return to form back in his regular 8th inning role. Blowing 3 saves in one week can play games with your head. The bullpen is getting fried cause the starters can't seem to get deep in a game. I have said it before, and I will say it again, the bullpen will be burnt by September. I think it will cost the Phillies dearly. Thankfully the division stinks so the Phils should make the playoffs. How far will they go? I don't think far. After all they still need a top line starter at the trade deadline.FLYERS:The NHL draft is tomorrow. For the Flyers, the more important story is the Jay Bouwmeester sweepstakes. The Flyers were dealt a blow today however. Apparently Jaybo wants to play out west. It's said the Canucks are the front-runner currently. I still hold out hope he will crave the Orange and Black jersey. The saga should end tomorrow. The Panthers know he does not want to come back, so the team needs to move him before July 1st which is when free agency begins. If the team deals him before that they can get something for him. When July 1st hits, the Panthers get nothing. There is also benefit for a team to acquire his rights before July 1st because they get exclusive negotiating rights.In other Flyers news, there are multiple reports that the Flyers will play the Boston Bruins in this year's Winter Classic at Fenway Park. I will be there if that happens!SIXERS:The Sixers drafted PG Jrue Holiday of UCLA with the 17th pick in the draft. This was a weak draft and this guy will not make an immediate impact. The Sixers have a lot of work to do. It was rumored the the SIxers were shopping Elton Brand but that has been since denied. Hopefully Sam Dalembert is traded for a practice basketball. I will drive him to the airport.
