In front of the largest crowd at Citizens Bank Park history, the Phillies lined up against Brewers ace CC Sabathia, and patiently, then painfully, shot him down.

Brewers’ owner is all wet
Maybe Milwaukee Brewers' owner Mark Attanasio is just in a foul mood because the Philadelphia Phillies are kicking the snot out of his team in their National League Division Series. I don't know how else to explain the foolish comments Attanasio made Friday about the New York Yankees.
Attanasio is looking for more revenue-sharing money from [...]

Tonight is CC Sabathia night for the Phillies offense. Here are some introductory numbers on the Brewers ace:

The More Things Changea??
Man. It was just days ago that we were discussing what C.C. Sabathia's arrival in Milwaukee meant for their 2008 season. After going 6-8 in Cleveland, the hefty lefty was nearly unhittable for the Brewers by going 11-2 with an ERA of 1.65. But similar to what occurred last season for the Tribe, Sabathia entered the post season, and took the hill as a completely different pitcher.
CC Sabathia Is No John Smoltz
In the post-season, maybe no one's no John Smoltz.
NL Central Winless in Playoffs
Photo courtesy of Chicago TribuneIt has been a playoffs to forget for the two teams that represent the National League Central Division in the 2008 MLB Playoffs. For the Brewers, CC Sabathia was unable to get out of the fourth inning as the Phillies battled all night at the plate. For the Cubs, however, it turned into another playoff appearance full of mistakes.Milwaukee entered...
King Gives Phils Series Lead
Charlie Manuel, you son of a bitch, I almost had a heart attack yesterday. Seriously, why was Cole lifted from the game, the dude was nearly unhittable. Lidge is solid, but he didn't need to be pitching the 9th last night. The offense sputtered for the 4 straight playoff game, but in the end the Phils won and that's all that matters.

PTBNL: Michael Brantley It Is
Well, it only took three months to find out, but the Indians are the proud new owners of outfielder Michael Brantley.
A Legendary At-Bat
When looking back on the Phillies' road to the NLCS, Victorino's grand slam will stick out like a sore thumb, but Myers' at-bat was extremely important. Don't forget it!
Myers Walk and Shane's Slam
Video of Brett Myers amazing walk and Shane Victorino's beastly grand slam off of CC Sabathia.
The Stars Were Aligned
There was as much excitement in 3 Brett Myers at bats as there was after the Victorino grand slam that the first set up.
THAT, readers, and not stories of Santa, Michael Irvin and battery hurling at JD Drew defines the passion of Philadelphia sports fans.
We Have Brantley; CC Trade Completed and Damaged
It has been finished.. Michael Brantley will be the final piece to the Indians trade of CC Sabathia. The specifics on Brantley... He's a speedy outfielder with a high on base percentage, but some feel that could be skewed by the fact that the minors will do that to players because of control. Not buying it, he hits for a high average, that's very good. He also has a low strikeout total...
CC you later!
So much for CC Sabathia being the savior. CC, pitching on short rest for the 4th straight outing, finally showed a chink in the armor, and the Phillies took full advantage. With 2 outs and a man at 3rd in a 1 run game, Brett Myers stepped to the plate. What followed might have been [...]
CC Ya Later
Before yesterday's win, it seemed that the media came to a foregone conclusion that CC Sabathia would pitch a complete game shutout and totally demoralize the Phillies and their rabid fans, tying up the series 1-1 as it headed to Milwaukee for the weekend...not so fast. Brett Myers worked his bat magic and the rest is history, Phils win 5-2.
