Found June 08, 2008 on We Should Be GM's: Yardbarker Blogger Network
The Phils are phylin' high, and I'm loving it. Every game seemingly has a new twist to it, which usually leads to a Phils victory lately. They're sitting pretty atop the NL East at 38-26, so that makes this a sweet Sunday. Pitching is pitching well, hitting is hitting well enough, and defense is defending. To make this an even sweeter Sunday would be a sweep of the Braves lead by the resurrection of Adam Eaton. Eaton has quietly become the second best starter on the staff, and is finally settling into some form of consistency. If indeed the Braves are swept today, I would consider them owned by the Phils.

Should Phillies Trade Jimmy Rollins?

Ok this isnt a rumor ive heard, this is just straight from my thought bank. There is some quality pitchers that can be traded for, that we could use in the rotation, to set us off. Now, ive watched Jimmy Rollins his entire career as a phillie, and i never been sold on him. Last year was a hell of a season, and lets face it, he wont have another or close to it. What im thinking...

Victorino leads Phillies past Braves with arm, bat

3 Up 1. The Flyin' Hawaiian: Shane Victorino did it all tonight, going 2 for 3 with 2 triples, 2 runs scored, 2 walks and he drove home the run that gave the Phillies a lead in the 10th inning. Oh, and he ended the Braves rally in the bottom of the 10th by throwing out the possible tying run at the plate. 2. Bullpen Dominance: Jamie Moyer pitched well but was only able to...

Countdown to the Braves' Whining?

If there's one thing we can count on the Braves for nowadays ? it certainly isn't playoff appearances ? it's whining when things don't go their way.

Farm Report: June of '08 (Part I, Lehigh Valley & Reading)

Let's begin with a quick recap of this weekend's Braves - Phillies series. Friday night's game, which saw the Phillies snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, might just be the moment that Phillies fans look back upon and say that was the decisive game of the season. Kelly Johnson's error in the top end of the ninth allowed the Phillies to tie the game at 2-2, then...
