Barry Bonds Being Blackballed?
The head of the players union thinks so.
I think teams don't want the circus that comes with him. The steriod allegations, the special treatment, the lazy outfielding.
While his presence - even if he were merely a dh - would certainly boost ticket sales in some slower venues. But is it worth it?

Catch Me If You Can: Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners - American League Preview 2008
Of all the divisional races in Major League Baseball, none is being written off as already over like the American League West where the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are seen as near-locks to make the playoffs. The Seattle Mariners beg to differ. In 2007, the Mariners managed to offer the Angels some legitimate competition until a painful series in late August where the Angels swept...

Hey, at least it will give us a reason to watch games later in the season. Here's 16 reasons why the streak will continue.
Thursday Notes: Bench, Baek, Beltre Hurt
Mike Morse still is the frontrunner for the final bench spot, despite a nice game by Greg Norton. Cha Seung Baek will opt for free agency if he doesn't make the big club. Adrian Beltre has an injured thumb.
