I have been hearing mixed reports as to whether the signing of Pedro Feliz was good or bad for the Phillies. My post yesterday was mostly negative, as I pointed out that he is a poor hitter who makes too many outs. More importantly, does this signing mean that the Phillies are done signing players this off season? If that is the case, then I think they have failed to accomplish...

Pedro? We're Talking About Pedro?
The Phillies just signed Pedro Feliz from the Giants today to a two year deal. Last year Pedro hit 20 homers and had 72 rbi's. If Pedro can establish himself as a decent third baseman defensively than the Phillies 4-1 odds at winning the national league will pay off. Think about this: Our infield should supply our offense with over 100 homers this season, at least. Go Phils!

Is It Time To Bench Pedro Feliz?
When Pedro Feliz was signed to a 2 year, 8.5 million dollar deal in the off-season I had my reservations about the whole thing. Basically, I looked at these things called 'facts' and wondered why the Phillies should be starting a guy with a ludicrously low on-base percentage (OBP). Here were my thoughts on the signing:
