Another Cubs Blog:
Once again, Bruce Levine is kicking the ass of every beat guy in town:
Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez received a cortisone shot in his left shoulder on Tuesday.
Ramirez, who hasn’t played since Saturday, is expected to miss the next 2-3 days.
I’m going to have to defer to the medical professionals and the player here, but I still wonder what the point is of keeping Ramirez on the diamond. By his own admission, his shoulder hurts so much that he “wouldn’t be able to help the team if [he] played,” so I don’t see the point in shooting him, having him miss most of another series, only to have to do the same thing in 10-14 days. I really hope they aren’t mortgaging Ramirez’ future for the pot of beans that is this Cubs’ season.

No Aramis No Runs
The Cubs are toast without Aramis Ramirez.
They can’t seem to score without him, and it’s costing them dearly in the standings.
Doesn’t matter that Ramirez won’t be fully healthy for the remainder of the season, the Cubs just need whatever he can give.

Chicago Cubs Offense Needs to Stay Hot
The Cubs need to stay hot if they want to stay in this close NL Central division race.
Carlos Zambrano is the most recent victim of the DL for the Cubs. These things have happened a lot to the Cubs this season, but they have battled to stay close to the top of the NL Central. Aramis Ramirez has also been hurt recently. This time it’s his left shoulder. It is not, however, supposed...
Underrated: Working at Home
Yesterday, I took a "mental health day" and called in sick. I actually had a lot of work to do, so I decided I would just stay home and do some of it. What I discovered was amazing. Despite the fact that I slept until nearly eleven and ate a leisurely lunch, I managed to accomplish more in four hours working at home than I have in the past three weeks working at the office. ...
