For five innings last night, John Smoltz looked pretty solid. The Red Sox had a 2-1 lead, but the Texas Rangers are a dangerous offensive team, and proved it in the sixth. Recently, Braves rookie pitcher Tommy Hanson struck out 11 San Fransisco Giant hitters in seven innings pitched. This made him 5-0 on the year with a 3.00 ERA with 36 strikeouts and a 1.27 WHIP. So after 7 starts, it got me thinking, is Tommy Hanson the next big Atlanta Braves pitcher.
