yeah, next year...some tinkering here and there is needed...one #2 starter, a solid bat, and some bullpen help, Tampa style, and things will work out...Important: props to Tampa, a real Fine team, congrats to their Team and Fans...my whole take on 08' Sox: I am so proud of that team for showing serious fortitude in defending their crown like wildcats...Sox could have laid down after 3-1...real proud to be a Fan of this current team

Ray's Matt Garza has GROSS Stuff in His Ears
Matt Garza took to the field for the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 7 against the Red Sox with some weird tissue filling his ears in an attempt to quiet the wild noise. After Dustin Pedroia took him deep for a 1-0 lead, he removed the gross padding and has actually pitched well.
Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs got thrown out of Fenway
Last Night, during Game Five of the 2008 ALCS between the Rays and Red Sox,A former professional wrestlerA Brian Knobbs got his Blue Rayhawk kicked out of FenwayA Park.
I haven't yet seen the official Red Sox reason as to why Knobbs was booted from Fenway, but I would imagine it would have to be something along the lines [...]

Derek Lowe wants to return to Boston
I think of all the players that have played for the Boston Red Sox, Derek Lowe is the one that I miss the most. He managed to have dominant appearances as a closer AND a starter, wore his heart on his sleeve, and was a huge part in the first Boston championship since 1918. When his contract ran up at the end of '04, the club basically let him walk away without offering him...

One more... winnner takes all
"There's nowhere to run."
"We've been in there before," said David Ortiz. We know what it takes to win games. It's not easy. It's not like we like to be in that situation. I guess that's the way our destiny has been the past few years that we have won the World Series."

Quick Pic: Rays campaigning for Obama?
Change We Need might as well be Fox's slogan for the World Series, as we'll have a matchup of two totally different teams than anyone expected. Today's pic features David Price addressing the crowd at a rally for Barack Obama at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, with Carl Crawford and Cliff Floyd flanking him in the background.Check out more from Tony Arnoldine at http://tixytixy...
TBS/TNT's Graphics Department Continues To Amaze Me
I can't tell you how much I enjoy the "Gone Fishin'"-like segments that TNT's graphics department puts together after every doubleheader. Sure their photoshops and videos are a bit cheesy, but that's what makes them so funny. Well they've obviously been thinking about what to do for the ALCS, and they finally came up with a great idea. To involve...
David Price Should Be A Fantasy Force In 2009

David Blaine to Watch Entire World Series Without Moving from Living Room Couch
Just weeks after hanging upside down for 60 hours, legendary magician and endurance artist David Blaine announced his latest feat of mind-bending endurance: he will watch every inning of the massively unanticipated Phillies-Rays series without leaving his living room couch. Contrary to the wishes of most fans outside of Tampa and Philadelphia, the world's most celebrated masochist...
I'd like to be wrong... but I'm not going to be...
I got to turn this one on in the fifth, just before the Rays' David Bartlett hit just his third home run of the year to tie it up against the exceptionally shaky Josh Beckett. In the next inning, Not So Big Game James Shields gave the game back to the dead man wearing Jason Varitek's jersey, and another single after that. After a pitching change, Bartlett made a bad error...

The Tampa Bay Rays Advance to the 2008 World Series
After being beaten in game 6 by Josh Beckett and the Red Sox, a game the Rays should have won, the Rays beat Jon Lester in game 7, a game they should have lost. Bottom line: the Rays played better in 4 of the 7 games played and that’s all that really matters.
Both sides had injuries to key players. Boston was missing SP...
