Found February 06, 2008 on U.S.S. Mariner:
Every other team in baseball looked at this skillset and said "not interested". The Red Sox looked at this skillset and said "useful bench player if he'll play for nothing". The Mariners looked at this skillset and said "Starting DH, $6 million salary, #2 hitter".

If the Mariners do end up reeling in Bedard from the O's, I'll take the impact that deal makes to cutting ties with a soft-hitting, spray single type guy of Vidro. I'm not too worried about it, the M's are actually on the right track. They've dropped both Guillen and Vidro, both guys who I dislike for one reason or another. Now, if we could just get Kenji to hit the ball to opposite field.

ya but your not seeing the whole picture a bench player isnt going to play every day so hes not going to get paid as much granted they may be the same player but vidro is playing every day

I think his whole point was that Vidro shouldn't have been signed to be an every-day player especially when there are (were) other options to look at, ie: Sean Casey.
