Yankees could be a smokescreen. Cardinals are shopping Rolen- but I don't know if they really have the dough. Braves surprised me the most -- Angels are the least surprising.

he better not go to the yankees, i could deal with him going somewhere else, just not the yankees.

I can't see him playing 1b next year. At this point the Sox offer makes most sense from a business standpoint. Yes it would be nice to have Lowell playing 3b next year, but the reality is that he isn't getting any younger. Can he repeat the year he had again? Maybe in Fenway, no way in another ball park.
If the Sox don't get Lowell, look for them to go after Atkins from Colorado, he's on the block, a great defensive 3b with pop, makes alot of sense.
  • Why would the Braves want him? Are they gonna move Chipper to LF?
