Most of the Phillies premiere players are in their prime right now 29-30. Howard(29) Rollins (30) Utley (30) Lidge (32) Victorino (28) Werth (30) RRuiz (29). Ibanez can produce for 3 or 4 more years, and that is their window to win some more championships, so by trading Ibanez now you are giving up that extra run producer that can help you win when all of your premire players are in their prime. Trading him would be a bad idea.

I don't know about 4 years. But I'd bet a couple of paychecks he has at least TWO solid years left. He is also playing in a much smaller park than in Seattle. And why trade away a High Character guy like him off your team. With a supporting cast of Victorino and Wearth in the outfield.... Most teams would love to have that outfield. Then again most teams would love our starting infield too. It would take a bonafide starting right-handed pitcher and draft picks for me to even think about trading him. And they would be high draft picks. Sorry man I'd have to dissagree with trading him at this time. I want more World Series Wins. He'll be a big part of that!

He's not going to have huge market value because he's 37, despite putting up record numbers this year. Also, there's a thing called loyalty.
