Can Russ Martin be this year's #1 Fantasy Catcher. Claudio Vargas, 200 strikeouts? Brad Penny can't strike anyone out this year. The Orioles have baseball's #1 Bullpen & More.

He can be the #1 guys this year. In a league where errors count he will be good because his staff throws strikes and his middle infield can make up for any off line throws. And with the lineup that is around him he should have all the protection he needs to hit a solid .290 with a few jacks and pick up some cheap RBIs to rule the catcher relm.

Not really sure what the story is with Penny. He had a rough spring but was probably just toying with his mechanics. Last year in his first four games of the season and his last four games of the season, he basically averaged a K an inning, so no obvious trends appear. The good news is runs aren't crossing the plate in 2007. The bad news is that his walk rate is way up. Fantasy leaguers may want to trade Penny to a player that is disproportionately focued on ERA.
