I assume the C.C. Sabathia rumor is very preliminary speculation from Ken Rosenthal, but it's interesting nonetheless.
"The Indians are going to have to at least entertain deals for C.C. Sabathia. If they continue to fall in the standings, Rosenthal expects the Indians to try for a Dan Haren type deal involving numerous prospects in return. Two teams he mentions with interest are the Dodgers and Yankees."
The addition of an elite pitcher is never a bad thing, but you have to wonder what the cost will be. If there's no extension attached to the deal, is it worth giving up top prospects for a half season of Sabathia?
