In a season that is starting to look more and more special each day, it seems there's a new hero each day as well. The last couple of days it has been Bill Hall and Thursday night was Ryan Braun's turn. With the Brewers trailing 3-2 in the ninth, Braun came up to bat with JJ Hardy on first. Braun launched a Ryan Franklin pitch into deep left-center to give the Brewers a 4-3 lead.

From a Royals Press Release:The Kansas City Royals have placed outfielder Joey Gathright on the 15-day disabled list with a bone bruise in his right shoulder and recalled outfielder Mitch Maier from Triple-A Omaha. Maier is in the lineup tonight batting 9th and playing centerfield. Maier is 26 years old and hitting .316 with Omaha.
