San Francisco Giants - Acquired 1B Ryan Garko from the Cleveland Indians for P Scott Barnes.
Garko has established himself as your basic run-of-the-mill league-average 1B. He's not going to hit 30 home runs or slug .550 or steal you 7 or 8 runs a year with the glove, but you can stick him in your lineup, set it and forget it. I'm not sure he's a great fit for the Giants however...

Let's be honest Tribe fans, there aren't going to be many that actually miss Ryan Garko now that he's been traded to the San Francisco Giants. It's not that Garko hasn't been productive, because there have been moments in Tribe-land in which Garko was the most productive player on the team. Unfortunately for the lumbering first baseman, most of that production has come at a time...

There are many annoying baseball announcers...the first that comes to mind is the New York Yankees John Sterling with his "Yankees Win...thaaaaaaaaaaaa Yankees Win"...the Chicago White Sox play-by-play man Hawk Harrelson gets under my skin with his "He gone" call after a White Sox pitcher strikes out a batter...but the most annoying and worst baseball announcer...
