Evan Longoria easily won the American League Rookie of the Year today, but two Minnesota Twins were recognized nonetheless. Rookies Denard Span and Nick Blackburn each received votes.

Span spent just over half of the season in Minnesota where he had a breakout year. He hit .294 with 6 homeruns and 47 RBI's in 93 games.

Blackburn meanwhile pitched in the rotation from day one and posted a 4.05 ERA to go along with an 11-11 record in 33 starts (team lead) and 193.1 innings pitched.
