When Shannon Stewart broke up Curt Schilling's no-no in Oakland yesterday, loud cheers could be heard from a certain opposing team's clubhouse, several thousand miles away:

  • I heard that Shannon Stewart's bat was bleeding and it will be sent to the Hall of Fame to be incased for the extent of it's lifetime. I am neither a Schilling fan or foe, but the whole fake bloody sock thing makes my stomach turn still. Although as a pure baseball fan I would have liked to see another no-hitter and especially a perfect game, had Lugo not bobbled that easy groud ball.....
  • I'm not a Schilling fan either, but had he done it, I would have been happy. Good for Shannon Stewart though. He's putting together a quality season when everyone thought he was done.
  • Sucks for him though, and for baseball, a perfect game is something special

Nice Job Shannon

Not be to completely anti Red Sox or anything, but congrats to Shannon Stewart for breaking up Curt Schilling's No-No on the last possible occasion. So does that make me happy, why yes it does, because not only does that douche not get a no hitter, but the person that owns him in my keeper league will not get bonus bucks for having a pitcher throw a no no.
