Well since I was brutal on the Mets during their mini slump of losing 4 out of 5, I figured that I needed to address their success. No I'm not one of those doom and gloom bloggers that disappears during success and only posts when things are going bad, I simply haven't had the time. The Mets were on the verge of repeating last years collapse, finding ways to lose and playing uninspired baseball. While I still feel they needed to win two of those four games, they showed a lot by coming back to win three in a row.There have been a lot of questions about the character of this team and their ability to handle pressure. Yes, it's been said that they can bounce back and have shown resiliency this year but with 17 games to go and a three game lead they seemed to melt under the pressure.
