Wow, Jeremy Sowers's birthmark is even worse than Drew Brees's.

If you mean the white spot on the right side, that's just the glare from the TV screen. The only way I could capture him in his silly little outfit from a few weeks ago.

LaPorta's Olympic Swing
The 700 Level directed us over to the recently updated NBC Olympic photo galleries that have produced pictures of the baseball team during past and present activities. The picture above is of former Brewer and current Indian Matt LaPorta during batting practice. While I have no idea where the ball went, seeing images like this make me forget about currently being in last place...
You Are The GMa??..For Jamey Carroll
WFNY readers have been playing GM for the Cavaliers since the playoffs ended. Well Tribe fans, the 'off-season' has come early for this year's team. So we want your help. We will take a look at the Indians roster and determine who we should try and trade, who deserves an extension, and who we should simply 'let it ride'. Shin-Soo Choo, Franklin Gutierrez, Ryan...
Liriano Set to Return
Francisco Liriano has finally been recalled to the Twins.
Lame duck and old Byrd lead Tribe
Two guys who will have no impact on the Tribe's future had quite an effect on their present tonight.
Paul Byrd has now strung four good starts together - the latest being tonight's 7-inning 1-run outing against the Twins.
Byrd has now given up just 5 earned runs in 25 innings (1.73) over the past four games, winning three of those contests.
Byrd keeps building his...
Morning Update: Shapiro Turns Situation into a Positive One
Mark Shapiro on turning the Cleveland Indians' lost season into a positive situation and Kelly Shoppach on his exciting night that upset Todd Jones.
Morning Update: Hafner Back in Town, Swings Bat
Cleveland Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner is back in Cleveland after the death of his father and he swung a bat a few times. Victor Martinez has joined the team on its nine game road trip and Paul Byrd won't use his limited no-trade clause if the Tribe were to deal him.
Red Sox offer Joe Borowski a contract
I'm not sure exactly where the Red Sox are going with this one but they've offered reliever Joe Borowski a minor league contract. The financial side of it is next to nothing (tell that to anyone making $10 an hour) so it's another low risk/high reward situation.
Borowski was released by the Indians a few weeks ago after struggling to regain his control and velocity...
LOLTribe: Ben Francisco's Grady Impression and Masa's Gift To Sal Fasano
LOLTribe for Friday August First. Cleveland Indians Sal Fasano receives a gift from Masahide Kobayashi and Ben Francisco busts out his best Grady Sizemore impression.
CC Sabathia is a Class Act
CC Sabathia is a Class Act. That pains me to say, since he is on the Brewers and has made the Central race closer since his entrance into it. The reigning AL Cy Young winner left Cleveland with a heavy heart. Baseball is a business and Milwaukee was ready to pay his bills. Cleveland made attempts to sign C.C. past the 2008 season but contract talks stalled and the Tribe decided they...
Sal Fasano and his feast upon a Tiger; Tribe Win
The Cleveland Indians beat up Justin Verlander and the Tigers bullpen and Sal Fasano has Tiger for lunch. Grady Sizemore has a big day and Fausto Carmona's defense lets him down.
BOBBLEHEAD ABSURDITY
by Scott Sargent, Waiting For Next YearIf you're at Progressive Field next Monday evening, you will be the proud new owner of a Jhonny Peralta bobblehead doll. You got it, the .270-hitting shortstop of the Indians, that has about as much range as Manuel Uribe. But the only catch is, I'm not so sure that this thing actually looks like Jhonny Peralta. Coco Crisp? Maybe. Peralta...
Minor League Update: LaPorta Homers in US Exhibition; Zach Jackson Roughed Up
Cleveland Indians outfielder Matt LaPorta homered in the US Team's exhibition game against Canada. Back in Buffalo, fellow CC trade partner Zach Jackson got roughed up. Kinston catcher Carlos Santana went 3-4.
Wedge, Where's the Stache?
Just finished reading a fun interview with CC Sabathia. Head over to Big League Stew and check it out. My favorite part? CC and 'Duk discussing the struggles of the Indians this year. Gotta be the 'stache-
Q: I'm looking for some dirt on the Indians. You're a guy to ask because you just came from there. The Tribe has been struggling. How much blame should we place...
Game 108: Tigers at Indians
PREGAME: Anyone else still tired from last night? Hopefully Justin Verlander went home early and got a good night's sleep. The Tigers used 10 innings worth of bullpen last night and need Verlander to be more efficient than his 110 pitch, 4 inning outing against the White Sox. The Tigers bullpen [...]SHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "Game 108: Tigers at Indians", url...
You Gotta Love Kentucky Fans
Article by Brad KingI sometimes wonder if Kentucky basketball fans are the most fierce and organized fan base on the planet. If our state's mind was focused, who knows what we could accomplish. So it seems after the UK fans completely annihilate a CBS poll by Gary Parish that matched the top programs over the past 100 years with the best players from their national championship...
