(What's this, a list? Yeah, 205 is having Financial Issues, so you get all your Shooter Content here again. Click on some ads, will you?) 10) New York Yankees. Don't let the recent winning streaks fool you; this is a roller-coaster ride with an undercurrent of real distaste. The manager seems overwhelmed, the new yard is destroying the pitching depth, the "fun" of rooting for A-Roid can't really be stated in words, and Chien Ming-Gone is just an exercise in tragedy. I did not even bother reading past the #19 on the list. This writer is delusional. What a bunch of useless drivel most of this article is. The Yankees are fine and the writer is just another one of those moronic loser Yankee haters.

Oops #10 of course. Oh and yes, many of the choices were right on the money, but not the Yankees, what a joke.

Yankees fans will always be depressed because New York is a depressing city in general.

I happen to enjoy New York. I am a Mets fan through and through. But I am in no way depressed. Yeah the Mets suck right now but, half the team is injured. So there is an excuse. And why would fans of the Yankees be deperessed. 1 game back of the Red Sox. with exception of a few teams, this list is stupid.

yea both new york teams are still in contention. and then they leave a team like the pirates off of the list. and really? baltimore at no 1? they have some of the most exciting young players in the game, and camden is a really cool park. sounds like the writer is just guessing as opposed to actually having concrete information....sigh.

Yeah, I was sort of ripping on New York fans. I don't actually believe that New York is a depressing city. However, it is difficult not to be depressed after blowing a division lead in September 2 years in a row.
  • For the record, I hate on the Red Sox and Yankees more or less equally, being an A's fan... but the fun myopia of anyone in the Coke vs. Pepsi turf war is that if you **** on one without slagging on the other, you must be with the other. Charming, both of you. Go Rays.

the oakland athletics have been like a farm team for the rest of MLB for years now.

Ummm... As a life-long and die hard Yankees fan, I can pretty much guarantee that we DO NOT belong on this list. We have undergone drastic changes in recent history and yes, there has been frustration in certain areas, but all teams have that. Another thing we have that a lot of teams don't have is unrelenting hope and faith in our team. Everyone I know still watches every game, and if we win, we're thrilled. If we lose, then we just look to the next game and keep on keepin' on. We're only on the list because the Yankees have always been and will always be under the spotlight... Also note that the Yankees still have more fans outside of the Tri-State Area, than any other team in the MLB.
  • Fair enough, Lizzy. I'm probably just overstating the impact of having to hold your nose and root for A-Rod, or the won-loss record against Boston.
    • Lizzy72180
Point well taken. A-Rod's antics have certainly been a distraction and an embarrassment for the organization, but I for one, have learned to ignore them. I'm certainly not apathetic to it all, though... And people really don't talk about him as much around here as people would think. As for our record with Red Sox, we certainly aren't happy with it, but we're now tied with them in the AL East as I write this. I think people would be surprised as to what actually bothers us around here...
