The Twins and Luis Ayala have agreed to a one year deal worth 1.3 million dollars, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Ayala was overworked last season with the Nationals and Mets, going 2-10 with a 5.71 ERA. However, he had a 3.19 ERA the previous season. The Minnesota Twins signed Luis Ayala to a one year deal yesterday. Jim Pohlad said that a Joe Crede signing 'makes sense' and that payroll should increase next season. Also, Matt Guerrier is extended through 2009.
