PLAYERS: Brad Hawpe

If you do a quick search for Matt Vasgersian on YouTube, you'll find a few clips of him swearing and acting like an idiot on live television. Monday night was no exception, as he attempted humor at a horribly bad time. Not only is that an awful time to crack a joke, it's also a bit racist, since the guy hardly looks like Donovan McNabb and weighs about fifty pounds more than the Eagles' quarterback. Not to mention Brad Hawpe is getting on a cart with his neck immobilized after getting struck with a thrown ball. Great job, Matt. (Hat tip to NESW Sports.com)

What Is Wrong With Matt Vasgersian? Seriously?

Even Mitch Williams is wondering what Vasgersian's deal is after the MLB Network studio host lost all sense of tact last night wondering aloud if an EMT was Donovan McNabb after Brad Hawpe was hit with a baseball and laid motionless on the field. Does that guy on the left look anything like Donovan McNabb to you?

Matt Vasgersian Apologizes

An update on Matt Vasgersian’s latest awkward live TV moment that originally ran here at Bugs & Cranks. Way to go, Matty. Of course he had roughly an hour to throw out an apology during Monday’s show while Brad Hawpe’s condition was still unknown. That probably would have been the right time to do so, but we’ll let it slide this time. All is forgiven...

MLB Network’s Matt Vasgersian Needs to Work on Being Professional

Matt Vasgersian of MLB Network has the voice and looks that could make him a top sports broadcaster. Too bad “professionalism” isn’t part of his repertoire at this stage, as shown in his inappropriate comments made on the air Monday evening. This isn't the first gaff by Vasgersian (he let the F-Bomb fly in one tapping), now it’s trying to joke about footage involving Colorado...
