Who would of thought it would come down to this? Manny Ramirez literally threw himself out of Boston with both his mouth and actions. It started by a slap to Kevin Youkilis' face, preceded with a shove to the team secretary, and continued with his big mouth to ESPN DePortes. Today marks the end of the Man-Ram era in Boston, and to be quite honest, it's sad. Granted the Red Sox needed to get him out of the organization; it's just a shame it had to happen like this. Manny Ramirez was one of the most loved Red Sox to date. Ramirez' eight-year run brought 2 world championships to Boston, a feat that was missing for 86 years. [...]

According to sources close to the topic, it looks like the three team deal that would have dealt Manny to the Marlins is dead in the water. And with the trade deadline just under 2 hours away, it can be pretty safe to say that Manny will be a Red Sox till the winter. (Let's see how well that goes over up north.) The Red Sox traded Manny Ramirez to the Dodgers late Thursday afternoon, SI.com has learned. Jason Bay is headed to Boston as part of the deal, SI.com has learned. The Pirates will get four minor leaguers in the three-way trade. The Pirates received Bryan Morris and Andy LaRoche from Los Angeles. They also received Brandon Moss and Craig Hansen from Boston.
