What Is The Phillies Best Option?

Lohse may or may not be hinting, but he's been around long enough to patronize everybody if it leads to a big payday. Can't blame him, either, considering how often pitchers get injured these days. The way pitchers/players have to look at it is: "Your current contract could be your last." I would be suspicious of the "Brotherly Love" hint/comment. Lohse could be playing one against the other for a fat, multi-year deal. He needs one more to see him through his career.

Lohse isn't at all available, why the heck would the Cardinals even think about trading him when they are in the middle of a race? The Cards are looking to add pitching, not trade it away!

Very true...man it'd be great to have him back though. Our best option right now is J.A. "I'll keep my periods thank you" Happ. The kid has looked pretty darn good in his 2 starts and can only improve. Once he got over his little adrenaline rush to start the game he was fantastic. we should have signed Lohse when we had the chance. It doesn't make sense...... We've been looking for pitching for years..... What do we do, we let good pitching walk right out the door.
