Assuming that the Dodgers play the Sox in the World Series (I think the Rays make it but lets pretend) which would piss the Sox fans off more. Losing to the Manny led Dodgers or winning and then having to give Manny a ring since he was on the team this year? Personally I am over Boston and their winning ways (mainly because of Bill Simmon's douchebaggery) but I have to admit it would be highly entertaining to see Manny show up at the ring ceremony next year and all the drama that would ensue.

Dear Dr. Craig Morgan: Shut up.

It's been a long time since the whole Curt Schilling vs. the Boston Red Sox debacle. In case you don't remember what happened, here's a recap: Curt wanted surgery on Boston's dime, the club said no and told him to try rehab, that didn't go so well so he had the surgery anyway. Well that was all in the past and most people assumed it was just water under the bridge...

Odds And Ends: Chih-Kuo, Manny, Bowa, Rant

A few odds and ends before game one: Hong Chih-Kuo is close to being added to the Dodgers playoff roster, taking the place of Takashi Saito, who has struggled after being injured. (...)

ALDS Game 4: Tonight Lester proves he's the ace

Let's keep it simple here people: Jon Lester is 11-1 at Fenway with a .249 ERA. John Lackey is 2-4 in 8 starts at the Fens with a 6.34 ERA. Both guys pitched very well in Game 1. Lackey's one mistake to Jason Bay proved to be the difference. I'm hoping for a few more mistakes tonight. If you're... Click the link to read more...

Time To Feel Like A Kid Again

Once again, a professional writer, who we'll call "Kansas", wanted to give his thoughts before the start of the NLCS. However, instead of wanting to vent like last time, this time he wanted to reminisce a tad. Enjoy. Two heat waves have hit Los Angeles in the last two weeks and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the Boys of Summer, who have been one...

NLCS Phlashback: 1983

A quick look at the 1983 NLCS between the Phillies and the Dodgers. This is part three of a four part series. The Phillies had lost to the Dodgers in the NLCS in 1977 and 1978.

NLCS Phlashback: 1978

Part two of a four part series looking back at the Phillies and their NLCS history. Part two focuses on the 1978 NLCS, a rematch of 1977 between the Phillies and the Dodgers.

I'm on no sleep... NO SLEEP!

Have you ever fought off sleep for so long that your body eventually assumes that it's not going to get it's daily reboot, so it just goes back to keeping you awake? That was me somewhere around the 7th inning last night. Josh Beckett's continued communication problems with Tek had last night's... Click the link to read more...

Red Sox have a flair for the dramatic

The Boston Red Sox make it back to the ALCS with a dramatic series clinching win over the Angels. It was sick play after sick play! I guess that is what playoff baseball is all about. -AwfulAnnouncing with the video

Angels commit suicide; Red Sox win ALDS!

So much to say... so little time. So I'm just gonna make a list of awesomeness from last night's game. 1. Jon Lester. That's it. He's awesome. 14 innings, 0.00 ERA, 11 Ks. John Lackey fought him tooth and nail in both games, but Lester never gave in. He got the leadoff man out every single time... Click the link to read more...

Experts look into crystal ball and see LA in seven

ESPN's panel of columnists and analysts, including Jayson Stark, Tim Kurkjian, Rob Neyer, Steve Phillips and Jim Caple, are near unanimous in picking the Dodgers to defeat the Phillies in the NLCS. Only Neyer takes the Phillies in seven. Most seem to envision a well-pitched series that could go the distance, with the Dodgers pitching staff having the upper hand over a Phillies offense...
