Who OUGHT to be in the friggin' All-Star game (AL Edition)

Derek Jeter? Carlos Guillen? Kosuke Fukudome? Miguel Tejada?! DAVID ORTIZ?!?!

Ballot-stuffing and ridiculous fan favoritism in the MLB All-Star Game voting is getting out of hand. Seven members of the Boston Red Sox make it, and just one Tampa Bay Ray? David Ortiz, who hasn't set foot on a field since late May, is the starting DH when Milton Bradley is having a career year? Give me a freaking break.

I wouldn't put Vlad in the reserves. He should've been IN the game. He's been consistently underrated this season, while actually doing much better than a number of those overhyped players. (Ryan Howard, I'm looking at you.) Speaking of, the two of them apparently went head-to-head hitting homers on some golf course. Pretty amusing/impressive: http://youtube.com/watch?v=hs8xiN2Y9d8
Either way, Vlad should've at least accepted the HRD invite. Bummer.
