InGameNow:
For those of you who don't know, Lou Piniella
is tampering with slating Ryan Theriot and Aaron Miles up the middle
infield. I think that is a joke! 9 and a half cub fans you talk to are
pissed off about the Mark DeRosa trade. Why? Because of his versatility and production. So the answer is to put Aaron Miles at second? Ha. Yea

Jim Edmonds Loves Bewbs
For those of you who are unaware, ol? Jimmy Ballgame still runs a restaurant in St. Louis, called ?F15teen.? Apparently, it?s some sort of steakhouse and he employs a local chef of some renown. And Jimmy?s eating establishment also boast a club, appropriately named ?Club 15? (these guys are the most humble people alive), a club which this weekend will host:
So the moral of the...
Chicago Cubs Positional Battles (Spring Training Edition)
Since Spring Training is under way, its probably time to analyze which Cubs will make the roster and which will be sent back to the minors or released. The Opening Day roster must be cut down to 25 players. Some spots are pretty much sewn up, but a lot of battles still exist on the bench, in the bullpen, and for the 5th starter spot.
The regular everyday lineup for the Chicago...

Gordon Whittenmeyer asks a dumb question
I?m not sure there are any more incompetent writers than Gordon Whittenmeyer. This morning he asks why the Cubs just don?t hold Harden back until May.
MESA, Ariz. - As the Cubs finally prepare to hand shoulder-challenged pitcher Rich Harden the ball for his first spring training start next week, the issue of how long he?ll last at a peak level this season raises the natural...
Shin-Soo Choo Has a Sore Elbow; Indians Want Him Back in Camp
The Indians are done with right fielder Shin-Soo Choo and his playing in the World Baseball Classic. He has a sore elbow, and today?s Plain Dealer says that the team wants him back in camp with them before anything else bad happens to him:

Cubs/Sox in Vegas Open Thread
I’ve got nothing. Just figured we might need a new thread. I’ll provide more information about games as we get closer toward the start of the season, but I can’t help but have little interest in the games other than it’s baseball. As long as the players stay healthy I don’t really care what happens.
2008: The Year the Tribe Won the World Series
Heading into 2009 the Cleveland Indians have positioned themselves to
contend in the volatile American League Central Division. Although much
has been said about flexibility and depth being the strength of the
team it also brings to attention the Tribe's lack of stability at many
positions.

Indians Top 20 Prospects, Part 1
People have different ways of looking at prospects. Some people value
projection over performance, drooling over a toolsy 18 year old in the
Dominican Republic who has never even touched U.S. soil, much less
performed in a professional baseball league. Some go far the other way,
looking at what a player has actually done on the field rather than
what he may eventually become...
The Fabulous Baker Boy
For his first several years of MLB service time, Scott Baker enjoyed building his frequent flyer portfolio by bouncing between Minneapolis and Rochester from 2005 until this past season where, without an identifiable frontline starter (unless you consider Livan Hernandez a frontline starter and I certainly don't), Baker stepped up as the leader of the rotation going 11-4 in his...

Could the Yankees Come Calling for 3B Andy Marte?
The Indians will miss Yanks third baseman Alex Rodriguez, who will be out till mid-May after he has hip surgery to have a cyst removed. That could lead to a move where the Indians offer up Andy Marte, who the Indians have been trying to move since they decided that he won’t be playing [...]
