Colorado is likely looking to move Brad Hawpe this offseason. Here’s why the Cubs will acquire him
He has a career wOBA of .372
He’s left-handed
He hits ~25+ HRs a year
He’s not Milton Bradley
He hasn’t been driven away by the bleacher crowd ala Mike Cameron
Sadly, he’s also epically horrendous on defense. His career UZR/150 in RF is -19.9. In 2008 he posted a legendary -37.2 UZR in RF. Even Adam Dunn is floored by that number. Because of this, he posted a -0.7 WAR in 2008 despite a better-than-good .379 wOBA on the year.
FML.
The only silver lining here is that Colorado is getting rid of him because they have an OF logjam, so they probably don’t want Bradley. However, Hendry could trade Bradley somewhere else and still try to get Hawpe.

Can’t Vote For Theriot in Cubs All-Time 9
If you’re anything like me you rarely go to cubs.com. This little all-time 9 thing could have been up for awhile or it could have been put up today. I have no idea, but I couldn’t help but notice how useless it was. I mean, they don’t have Ryan Theriot’s 2007 season included. His 2008 one isn’t either. Neither is the 2009 season. I would have voted...
What Went Wrong In The 9th Inning
Now more than 48 hours removed from the fateful 9th inning that ended the Rockies season, I believe I’ve collected my thoughts and emotions enough to honestly and accurately sum up what went wrong in four words.
Everything. Every damn thing.
Fortunately for you, I won’t torture you with the pitch-by-pitch analysis I’ve been agonizing over the last couple days...
Fantasy Baseball Profile: Carlos Gonzalez
Just who was that Superman leadoff hitter for the Colorado Rockies in the NLDS?
If you didn’t know much about Carlos Gonzalez prior to the Rockies playoff series with the Phillies, you know him now. Charlie Manuel sure does.

Rockies in the Eighth
Dexter Fowler walks with one out in the eighth to put the tying run on base. Cliff Lee is still on the mound, and that was his third walk of the game. Helton again follows with a ground ball, and Fowler jumps over Utley as he’s fielding the ball. Chase tries to [...]
