Found February 14, 2008 on Blogging Baseball:
As I have stated in the past, this blog is not about the sensationalism of the paparazzi coverage of the entire steroids, HGH and sports issue. This blog is about baseball ? all baseball, all the time. As such, this blog's focus remains on such topics as the impact of Curt Schilling's latest shoulder injury on his 2008 season, contract and career.

  • CS done from what description of shoulder damage is, probably safe to say, but the guy has had nine lives before...it appears, on spring training 08' paper, BOS won't need him...wasn't a big fan of that signing, or him as a person anyways...it's all about the youth movement up here now...the young arms...let's hope it comes to fruition

Roger Clemens comes unglued

The Rocket's appearance in Washington was by most accounts a five-hour Snooze Fest, but here are 60 seconds worth watching. Important bald man, smack that gavel!

Anna & Kris Benson are Phillies

After a very long courtship, former 1st pick in the '96 draft Kris Benson is phinally a Phillies. Of course this means Ms. Funbags herself Anna Benson will be joining in the party. This is a good signing because it's only a minor league deal, and he adds depth to the rotation that will certainly need an extra starter down the line. Career #'s- 68 wins, 4...

McNamee: Mrs. Clemens, Canseco Flashed Racks At Each Other

"I could tell a specific story about him being there, which was involving Jose (Canseco), Jose's wife and Roger's wife when they went inside, when the guys showed up. I mean, they talked — no disrespect, but they talked about how great Jose's wife's augmentation job was to Debbie and showed her. And then Debbie showed her her augmentation job." ...

Baseball Prospectus Projects Third Place Finish for Phillies

Baseball Prospectus is one of the best sources of information and analysis out there. Every year, I look forward to buying their book and scouring through all of the player projections and commentary. It's a source I go back to again and again. Once you understand all of the acronyms like VORP and MLV, there is a wealth of data that can help you understand more about baseball...

Bottom Feeders

On Monday, Fat Willard pointed out "MSM has an uncomfortable infatuation with Clemens' ass." Reader PVV points out, that the Washington Post has joined the likes of Fox Sports & The Trentonian with their clever, derriere-related headline today.

Cheaters Never Prosper

Bonds, Clemens, and Belichick all cheated, and all denied knowledge of their cheating, and all got busted today. Also on a sad note our thoughts and prayers are with the friends, family, and students in DeKalb at Northern Illinois University.

Results From Today's McNamee-Clemens Cage Match

What did we learn today from the Congressional Hearings that involved Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee? Well I can tell you that I learned that the Democrats seemed to support McNamee while the Republicans threw their weight behind Clemens.

Clemens Lying or Not?

After Clemens faced off against McNamee in Congress yesterday, do you think Clemens is lying about his use of PED's? Y/N?

So Many Amendments to Choose From

Roger is getting hammered by Waxman and close to going down in flames. If only he had plead the 1, 2, 3, 4...Fiiiizzzif.

Babe? You Mind Getting Under This Bus? Thanks, Sweetie!

...I mean, who hasn't thrown their wife under the bus for a burnt casserole, gettin' pulled over for a DUI and switching seats (after two years, and a week in jail, she's finally speaking to me again), and a fart slip at a dinner party (now that was funny!). But, this is over the top! AND my wife gets upset over my little boy's night out tomorrow at the Hustler...

Live Blogging: Clemens Congressional Hearings

Yep, so we're giving this Live Blogging thing a try. Considering how jazzed we are about today's hearing, it seemed an appropriate time to jump in the pool.

Barry Bonds Is Somewhere Laughing At Today's Capitol Hill Comedy

Somewhere in the Bay Area, Barry Bonds lounging with his feet up on the couch, his hands buried deep in popcorn and/or pretzels (not sure which is his junk food of choice) and laughing his large-domed tail off. In his mind, today's action on The Hill may be the best comedy of the year.

Pettitte: I Spoke To McNamee About Roger And 'Roids

Everything we're hearing concerns Pettitte's recollection of Clemens admitting to HGH use, and indeed that recollection appeared to be the sole focus of the congressional committee yesterday. However more interesting to me personally is a section in Andy's deposition in which he admits to discussing Clemens' use of anabolic steroids with trainer Brian McNamee in 2003...

Seven Things That Could Have Made Four And A Half Hours of Testimony Fun

If things had gone our way, Wednesday's four and a half hours of Rocket-Man goes to Capitol Hill would have been more entertaining. Why can't the Capitol be in Hollywood? If one of the following scenarios had taken place, it would have been Miller Time a little bit early. 1. When Roger Clemens took his seat, a robust round of Animal House style "cheater" or "...

Curt Schilling Out for 2008: The Fantasy Impact

In surprising news, Boston Red Sox veteran right-handed starting-pitcher, Curt Schilling, is supposedly out for the year (or at least the majority of the season) with a partially torn rotator cuff. The initial reports are saying that he has opted for rehab as opposed to surgery, but at age forty, this injury could spell the end of Schilling illustrious career. What is mysterious...
