Would Torre have helped the Yankees?

yanks have not been playing well, but i think if they have every 5th day and posada back in the lineup they wouldn't be struggling like this. maybe torre would help in getting the team focused, because there seems to be a lot of mental errors going on with this team, but at the end of the day you have to look at the players who are on the payroll. a ball/bat/glove is a lot more effective weapon to yield in a baseball game than a lineup card/bag of seeds.

If Joe Torre brought 2 viable starting pitchers and a consistent, healthy outfielder with him, yes. The Yankees were unprepared for an unlucky year. There's no doubt that they will go after every big-name free agent pitcher in the offseason and set themselves up to have a legitimate shot at the East/Wild Card.
