(Julia Louis-Dreyfus in HD? No favors.)I'd like to tell you that this is a new occurrence, a sign of temporary overwork at the day job (lots of transition and stress there, and I'd say more, really, but there's a reason why I keep the two gigs separate), the change in seasons, the (non-existent) sp...

Angels' aggressive approach pays dividends

ANAHEIM -- It was overshadowed by all the drama that followed: the six runs the Yankees scored in the top of the seventh, all of which came after Angels starter John Lackey had unsuccessfully pleaded with manager Mike Scioscia to leave him in the game ("This is mine! This is mine!" Lackey insisted); the three runs the Angels produced in the bottom of the seventh; and, especially...

THE ANGELS WANT TO WEAR MY RED SHOES

Could this be? Could this be the one saving grace for Mets fans this baseball season to forget? When people ask me you I’m rooting for this post season I now have a definitive answer, I’m rooting for Joe Girardi and baseball defying moves. Down the stretch of the season the formula was Chamberlain, Hughes and Mariano, so with his Highlanders on the brink of a great comeback win...
