It seems like everyone has taken a look at Chris Capuano, which I completely understand since we've been so desperate for starting pitching and it was quite a surprise that we landed him. As I've said since the news broke, I like the signing he's a lefty who didn't cost much and could potentially have success in the rotation. The other pitcher who signed, isn't getting as much attention and I thought it might be appropriate to take a closer look at him. Taylor Buchholtz is a 29 y/o right hander who has spent parts of four seasons in the majors between the Astros and Rockies. He was drafted by the Phillies in 2000 and was traded to the Astros in the Billy Wagner deal.
