Fox Sports Florida:
The kid can do it all. Well, almost.
Uber pitching prospect Jose Fernandez, making his first home start for the Marlins, was splendid on the mound again, throwing six scoreless innings in Miami's 2-1 win against the Phillies on Saturday.
And he even drove in his first RBI on his first major league hit.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Fernandez smacked a 1-1 pitch from Cole Hamels through the left side, bringing home Adeiny Hechevarria for the game's first run.
The 20-year-old pitcher was pumped up on first, so maybe that explains what happened next.
Fernandez, who hasn't faltered much since being called up to the big leagues despite never pitching above Class High A ball, had some difficulty putting on his jacket as he stood on first.
He eventually was able to overcome a troublesome zipper, pulling the jacket on over his head.
You expect rookies to have their share of struggles when they come up to the majors, it just seems that Fernandez's are not with the level of play but rather with the level of attire.
