We've spent more than a few of our typed words in this space ripping on Alex Rodriguez. It doesn't do any good to kick sand in his face right now. He's already buried.No matter his missteps, Rodriguez is one of the most gifted baseball players we've ever had the opportunity to watch. As a person and a player, however, he's given critics more than a few opportunities to tear him down. And for those many reasons, he's never been a particularly "likable" athlete.However, for all the things that have drawn my ire (and that of others), I have to give him at least some credit - for coming clean. I didn't see the interview with Gammons, nor am I particularly interested in reading all of the post-analysis. In this case, A-Rod did the right thing (for once). He didn't wait.
