The Evil Empire:

Check him out in action:

INSIDER: The Yankees have snapped a 5 game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the O's.
ON THE MOUND:

CC Sabathia (2-3) pitched a complete game shutout against the O's and was Phenomenal as he limited the Orioles to just 4 hits and a walk. He also struck out 7. It took him 119 pitches and 79 for strikes. At one point since the first inning he had retired 16 in a row. Not only did he finally pitch to his potential as a Yankee in a much needed win but he also saved the bullpen as well. It was his second Complete game as a Yankee this season. The last time a Yankee pitcher threw a CG shutout was since 2006 when Chien-Ming Wang shut down the Red Sox at their ball park.
THE OFFENSE:

Alex Rodriguez has missed 28 games this season. Coming off the DL with two on, he drilled the first pitch he saw and crushed it to left field for a 3-run Home run. His first of the year. That gave the Yankees a 3-0 lead. It was their first lead since Saturday in the fifth inning against the Angels. Alex then struck out in his next two AB's, one down swinging and the other caught looking.
He now has 23 Career Home runs at Camden Yards and 48 in total v.s The O's.
In case your wondering, the Yankees have a .595 winning percentage with A-rod and a .465 without A-rod since 2004.
The Yanks had a missed opportunity to score in the fourth. Swisher hit a double. Cano moved him over to third with a ground out to first. Swisher then got picked off at third, 3B coach Robby Thompson made contact with Swisher and was immediately called out. Then, Francisco Cervelli picked up his 1st major league base hit on a single to center.
Cervelli also threw out his first base runner (Adam Jones) in the first when CC got into a bit of trouble and laid down a successful sac bunt along with a walk. Not to mention he called a GREAT game tonight.
In the 7th, there was a walk and a ground out to move Cervelli over to second on the play. Johnny Damon then ripped a RBI double down the left field line to make it 4-0 Yankees.
