Welcome back to the top of Mount Douchebag Alex Rodriguez…the place hasn’t been the same since you left.
Just when you thought some of that douchiness that seemed to envelope A-Rod might just be wearing off, he goes and does something to remind us all that a leopard can’t change its spots.
In the sixth inning of their loss to the A’s, Rodriguez went from first to third on a Robinson Cano foul ball. Retreating back to first base, A-Rod thought he’d forego the scenic route, and cut across the infield. His path took him right over the pitcher’s mound, which is a big no-no in baseball–one of those so-called “unwritten rules” you here so much about. You know, the ones that don’t mean **** to us, but to the guys playing the game, they are to be followed to the letter…unless your name is Alex Rodriguez.
