After a weekend that can only be known as the Boston Massac…you know what, it doesn’t even matter anymore; I’ve already forgotten all about it. In any case, the Blue Jays got back on the winning track today against the AL East basement-dwelling Orioles. The victory didn’t come easily though, as the Jays needed extra-inning heroics from Adam Lind to turn a potential bullpen-induced loss into a 6-5 win in extra innings. With Jose Bautista not really getting too much to hit these days (just 1 home run in his last 14, but .434 OBP), Adam Lind has really taken to being the go-to guy to make teams pay when Bautista gets pitched around in key situations. He went 2-for-4 today with 2 walks, starting the Jays offense with an RBI double in the 1st, and finishing it with a monster walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th against Koji Uehara. It was his 12th bomb of the year, and after the Jays allowed the O’s to tie the game in the 8th and turning the momentum ...
