In 30 career games against the Texas Rangers, Blue Jays first baseman Adam Lind owns a .996, along with 12 home runs and 33 RBIs – I think to say that Lind excels against the Rangers might be a bit of an understatement. Lind added to those lofty totals today in Arlington with yet another monster performance against the Rangers, notching a pair of homers along with 5 RBIs en route to a 10-3 blowout win for the Blue Jays.
Lind ended his day 3-for-5, and his 5 RBIs alone would have been enough to give the Jays the win over the Rangers; but the rest of the Jays decided to chip in anyway, helped in large part by a first inning implosion from Rangers starter Matt Harrison. The Jays got to Colby Lewis in the 5th last night, but wasted no time tonight, getting a quick 5-spot on Harrison off 4 hits and a trio of walks. Before Harrison even recorded a single out, the Jays had taken the 3-0 lead after a pair of bases loaded walks to Juan Rivera and JP Arencibia.
